- Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 4K Texture Pack | Henriko Magnifico
The beautiful and faithful texture pack for Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - in up to glorious 4K resolution! With full support for the incredible Project Restoration mod! Hello! This is the info page for my MM 3D 4K texture pack project! Some general info regarding this texture project which you should read before you download it: (The download link is at the bottom of this page!) The pack currently includes several hundred remade textures. It covers most of the important textures in the game, although some minor locations remain untouched until I've had the time to make textures for them. The end goal is to remake every single texture from scratch! I am completely up for suggestions, changes and submissions. You will of course be fully credited for any work you submit. The 4K version of the texture pack is scaled to 8x the default resolution. The 1080p version is scaled to 4x the default resolution, which is best suitable for 1080p displays or lower. My goal with this texture pack is to enhance the original game visuals while staying faithful to the original vision. That means my textures are meant to blend in as much as possible with the old textures so the game feel doesn't change. This texture pack is for MM3D on the Nintendo 3DS only . There are no plans to port it to the N64 version. This texture pack will work with any custom mods / hacks of MM3D as long as they aren't adding new textures or changing old ones (in that case, conflicting textures will be overwritten by one another but it will still work) The texture pack is 100% compatible with the amazing Project Restoration mod by Leotlino and is highly recommended! Currently, only NTCS and PAL textures have been modified . You can still use this texture pack on Japanense / Korean versions of the game, it will still work. This will not include the Jap/Kor region specific textures though. If you don't like the way my texture pack looks over the original version, please note that all post processing can be modified easily from user to user to fit your own preference, you can make it look however you like . Press the "HOME" key on your keyboard while in-game to open the ReShade menu, where you can edit the post processing to your heart's content! Feel free to join my Discord server for updates on all my texture packs! Why would I play this over the N64 version? There are many reasons why you would want to play the 3DS version of MM with a HD Texture Pack over the old N64 version. Here are some I've listed out the top of my head; Better visuals (Higher resolution textures, higher quality models, depth of field, ambient occlusion, global illumination, tonemapping, post processing shaders, higher framerate* and even ray tracing in the future!) Works great with Project Restoration , which restores functionality from the N64 version and enhances the 3DS version of the game beyond the N64 version in many aspects. 60 & 120 fps support using Lossless Scaling Supports the orchestrated soundtrack from the MM Re-Orchestrated Project! Supports gyroscope and motion controls for aiming More item slots Fishing Hole Sheikah Guiding Stone for hints Various Q.O.L improvements, such as saving without quitting and earlier access to Song of Soaring Save States Lots of great 3DS-exclusive mods (if you're into that kind of stuff) Full 360 degree camera control using the right stick Full support for Windows, MacOS (including Apple Silicon) and Linux (including Steamdeck) Android Support Full customisation over post processing and effects (colors, exposure, tone mapping etc) Stereoscopic 3D support and the list goes on... Screenshots How is the texture pack made? How is this possible? Lots of people have been asking how the textures and the texture pack is made, and how it works! So here's a (relatively) comprehensive explanation on how I make the 4K textures and how the workflow works! (If you're not interested feel free to just skip this section) I make the textures using a combination of methods. I usually rework the textures by hand in Photoshop by compositing native 4K textures with an upscaled texture as a reference , usually in the background so that colors can be matched from it to the high res images. It's almost like making a collage, in a way. Then I do this over and over again for every texture, pretty much! Oftentimes I refer to concept art or official artwork to get closer to the "intended vision". It all depends on what kind of texture it is of course, some need more work than others, things like the UI and text etc can take a very long time to get right. Important textures are also usually remade first since they're so obvious when you play the game! The textures can then be loaded through texture injection in an emulator to replace the default textures with new ones on-the-fly- no modding is required at all! Want to help contribute to these projects? If so, thank you! Myself and lots of people would greatly appreciate your help making these projects shine even brighter. All contributed work will of course be credited, however not all submited textures might be included in the texture pack if they're not deemed a suitable fit for any reason. The most important thing is that textures are faithful to the original art style, and that they contain no copyrighted or otherwise illegal content before being distributed. Here are some specific core areas which are currently especially important in regards to contributed work; UI icons and character portraits Posters and signs (i.e. the posters in-game advertising the Carnival of Time) Minor texture tweaks (mistake or spelling corrections, for example) Hand painted textures (any category, as long as it stays relatively faithful to the original art style) High-quality, royalty free environment textures or material textures (PBR or otherwise) without watermarks. High quality 3D models or renders of characters, environments or items from the game. UI and text translations (Spanish, German, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese. Note: This requires substantial texture editing experience, and is not a simple text translation task ) Download (v3.0b) Setup Guide + F.A.Q
- Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 4K Texture Pack | Henriko Magnifico
Hello! This is the info page for my OoT3D 4K texture pack project! Some general info regarding this texture project which you should read before you download it: (The download link is at the bottom of this page!) So far, several hundred of the most important textures have been completely re-textured from scratch! The end goal is to remake every single texture from scratch. I am completely up for suggestions, changes and submissions. You will of course be fully credited for any work you submit. The 4K version of the texture pack is scaled to 8x the base resolution, which is suitable for 4K displays. The 1080p version is scaled to 4x the base resolution, which is best for 1080p displays. My goal with this texture pack is to enhance the original game visuals while staying faithful to the original vision. That means my textures are meant to blend in as much as possible with the old textures so the game feel doesn't change. This texture pack is for Oot3D, which means the 3DS version only . There are no plans to port it to the N64 version currently for several reasons (see F.A.Q). The texture pack, as distributed, is provided *as is*. There is no emulator included with the texture pack . The appearance of several locations has been changed to better match the tone of the N64 version. This includes locations such as the Bottom of the Well, where the blood has been restored from the N64 version as well as the final battle, which is now much darker like in the original. This texture pack will work with any custom mods / hacks of OoT3D as long as they aren't adding new textures or changing old ones (in which case, conflicting textures will be overwritten by one another but it will still work). It will work with the OoT3D Randomizer, for example It works with the Free Camera Control mod , which lets you control the camera in full 360 degrees freely just like in Majora's Mask 3D and in modern Zelda games. NTCS and PAL region versions are fully supported, but all other region versions are technically supported as well. The texture pack fully supports English, Spanish and German. More languages are planned to be added in future versions. On Windows only, games can look extra good with Reshade, which includes many color grading changes and optional post processing effects. Please note that all post processing can be modified easily from user to user to fit your own preference, you can make it look however you like . If you have installed Reshade, press the "HOME" key on your keyboard while in-game to open the ReShade menu, where you can edit the post processing to your heart's content. Extra post prcessing can also be completely disabled in-game by pressing "F12" on your keyboard. Feel free to join my Discord server for updates on all my texture packs! Some potential benefits over the N64 version: Better visuals (Higher resolution textures, higher quality models, better animations, depth of field, ambient occlusion, global illumination, tone mapping, post processing shaders, higher framerate and even ray tracing*) 60 & 120 fps support using Lossless Scaling Supports gyroscope and motion controls for aiming Boss Fight Replays Less pausing (iron boots as an item rather than equipment, for instance) More item slots Sheikah Guiding Stone for hints Water level icons in the water temple Master Quest is part of the game by default Very high stability (rare to crash or hang up) Save States Lots of great 3DS-exclusive mods Full 360 degree camera control using the right stick (using this mod ) Full support for Windows, MacOS (including Apple Silicon) and Linux (including Steamdeck) Android Support Full control over post processing and effects (colors, exposure, contrast, bloom etc) using Reshade Stereoscopic 3D support ...and the list goes on. - Zelda: Twilight Princess 4K Texture Pack 3.0 Update Changelog
Happy New Year! 🎆 I’m very excited to announce version 3.0 of the Zelda: Twilight Princess 4K texture pack ! This is by far the largest update the project has received so far , introducing over 530 new 4K textures across the game. This update includes a large number of new environment textures, a fully reworked UI, improvements to character textures, new and refined post-processing shaders, as well as many fixes, tweaks and general improvements. A significant amount of work has also gone into preparing the pack for future updates and new features. There’s a lot to cover, so here’s the more detailed changelog: New environment textures! Like in previous updates, a major focus of version 3.0 has been expanding and improving the game’s environment textures. Over 530 new 4K textures have been added in this update, making it the biggest single expansion of coverage so far. This is not an incremental update, but a complete overhaul in some aspects, which you will notice if you compare it to 2.1. Several areas have received extensive texture updates, and many regions that previously had partial coverage have now been improved to feel more cohesive and complete. The new textures cover (but are not limited to) the following areas: Forest Temple (Completely overhauled) Hyrule Field (multiple regions) Ordon Village Ordon Ranch Ordon Spring Faron Woods Sacred Grove Castle Town and surrounding areas Kakariko Village & Graveyard Zora River Lake Hylia Gerudo Desert Telma's Bar Hyrule Castle Town Hyrule Castle Hyrule Castle Sewers Several additional dungeons and sub-areas Unlike some earlier updates, this version doesn’t focus on just a few specific locations — most areas of the game have been revisited in some way . The Ordona region, the Forest Temple, and large portions of Hyrule Field have seen especially significant improvements in this update. Visual effects such as falling leaves, butterflies or the twilight "walls" in Hyrule Field have also been updated and now look substantially higher quality than before. Completely reworked UI! Version 3.0 includes a fully reworked user interface , with most UI elements recreated at higher resolutions. Improved clarity and readability More consistent presentation across menus, HUD elements and icons Better scaling at higher resolutions Visual adjustments intended to stay faithful to the original design whilst still being high fidelity. The updated UI is intended to better match the overall quality level of the texture pack and provide a more comfortable experience when playing at modern resolutions without artifacts or pixelation. Improved character textures! Character textures have received a broad quality pass in this update. Many key characters, NPCs and enemies have been revisited to: Improve overall texture quality Increase quality consistency Better align with the original game’s visual style The intent here is refinement rather than redesign, focusing on subtle improvements that help the textures blend more naturally with the rest of the game. New and improved post-processing shaders! Version 3.0 introduces updated and refined post-processing shaders with several notable improvements; Improved color balance and tone mapping Subtle contrast and lighting adjustments, including fixes for overly aggressive bloom. A more consistent visual presentation across different areas Increased consistency and overall quality improvements! A large portion of the work in this update has gone into revisiting older textures to improve consistency across the pack. Older HD textures have been cleaned up or adjusted Reduced visual inconsistencies between neighboring areas More cohesive presentation throughout the game The goal is to enhance visual clarity and consistency while respecting the original game’s art direction. Fixes, tweaks and other improvements! In addition to new textures, version 3.0 includes: Numerous texture fixes and UV alignment fixes Small visual tweaks across many areas General cleanup and polish throughout the pack These changes help improve overall quality and presentation, even if they’re not always immediately noticeable and only become apparent if you focus on the details. So to summarize this update, a LOT of things have changed and improved between the last version over the last year. I really hope you'll enjoy the new version of my textures! Also, there are some even bigger news related to TP coming soon (if you could believe it!), so please stay tuned for more announcements! That's it for this update. Enjoy!
- Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 4K Texture Pack 2.0 Update Changelog
Good evening! 🌙 I'm excited to finally release the next major update to the A Link Between Worlds 4K Texture Pack project in a looooong while, version 2.0! (Sorry! It's been nearly 2 years since the last update. It's way overdue for a new one!) I hope this update makes up for the long wait- it's pretty huge. This update is pretty much a remake of the entire pack that's been underway for several months and includes many new 4K textures covering the whole game, with a primary focus on cleaning up and improving consistency and quality all around. It of course includes new environment textures, new character textures, user-interface upgrades, higher quality shaders and more! Also, it now supports the new texture pack format (finally completing the full transition to the new format for all my texture projects), which fixes several previous issues, such as frequent stuttering and the infamous "texture swapping" glitch present in previous versions, plus it now also fully supports the Vulkan graphics API. And that's just some of it! Here's a more detailed look at what's new: 160+ New Textures! This update includes over 160 new 4K textures, covering everything from environments to interiors to user interface elements to characters and more. It also uses the 'new' texture format, which opens up the doors for many more neat features later down the line. I also spent a lot of time going over and reviewing old textures from version 1.2.0 and earlier, and I found that many of the textures were not quite up to my standards (Like with some of my prior projects, I believe I've gotten a fair bit better at texture making over time) Therefore, I've decided to replace many old textures from the previous version with new, remade versions which should look a lot better than before. Consistency is key, as they say. And this pack was definitely not that in it's previous incarnation(s). It's still not perfect, but it's better, and I will continue to iterate on and improve the visuals in subsequent updates until it's as close to perfect as I can make it. It's a step-by-step process, but it helps it all comes together really nicely in the end and makes the whole pack feel a lot more polished and complete. The details all add up! New texture format, Vulkan support and Reshade updates This version includes support for the new custom texture system-rewrite! This fixes many notorious bugs, such as the stuttering that would occur whenever new textures were loaded in and the infamous and somewhat terrifying "texture swapping" bug which commonly occurred for many users. It also adds Vulkan support, which means increased compatibility with different systems (AMD GPUs and mobile devices especially) and more graphical features (normal map support, better mip maps etc.) This really adds a lot to the experience and makes the game much more enjoyable from start to finish. ReShade has also been updated to version 5.9.2, which also comes with several stability and feature improvements. More notably this update fixes the flickering of the depth buffer present in previous versions, making effects such as ambient occlusion much more usable. It also improves on performance a fair bit compared to previous versions! Updated Shader Presets (Henriko Ultra v8) The default Reshade shader presets that come with the pack have been updated and improved in this version! Henriko Ultra v8 is way better in pretty much every way than the previous Henriko Ultra v7 preset that came included with the 1.2.0 version of the pack. Colors are a bit warmer and look more pleasing with A Link Between World's color scheme, bloom has been reduced somewhat and depth based effects such as ambient occlusion and depth of field are now entirely optional and look nicer as well. New Reshade also uses the Vulkan backend by default, and should boost both performance and compatibility with various systems. Updated file structure and streamlined instructions The file structure and instructions have been remade to be more in line with those used by my other 3DS packs, making things easier for previous users of my other packs. This finally completes the full transition to the new texture pack file structure, so all my 3DS packs can now be installed with nearly identical instructions to each other. And many bugs fixes, optimizations and minor changes... Minor issues from the previous version has been fixed, including a bug which caused quarter hearts to not display correctly. Performance has also been improved due to the previously described optimizations. That's mostly it for this update. Enjoy! The update is available early to all Green Rupee+ Tier supporters, with a public release 2 months after that! There is also a 4K version available, if your computer can handle it! The 4K version includes higher quality textures than the 1080p version, and will work on all displays- even those that don't display in 4K resolution. It will still look better than the 1080p version, no matter the display! Please feel free to try it out! (**The texture pack does not work on real 3DS hardware). You can find more information about the texture pack here. I am only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love! ❤️
- Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 4K Texture Pack 3.0 Update
Good evening! 🌙 Fall season is approaching and it's been a hot minute since the last update to this project. In fact, it's been one year on the day since the last version, 2.1, released last year. It's time for a new update, don't you think? Similar to OoT 3D 4K 3.0, this was initially a smaller update but I kept adding new things to it and well, here we are! Anyways, I hope you'll find the upgrades of this version worth the extra wait. So without further ado, here's what's new: 170+ New Textures! This update includes over 170 new 4K textures which have been remade from the ground up for this version. This includes both environment textures such as the ground, walls, stone tiles and bricks, wooden panels etc. It also includes many new interior textures , completely overhauling several locations, such as Pirates' Fortress, Clock Town and more . There are tons of miscellaneous textures as well that have been completely remade, such as different types of foliage, NPCs, the Mirror Shield, Weather Effects, Sheikah Stones, Deku Flowers, the World Map, a new remade font, a majority of the UI and much more . Like previous updates, it helps it all comes together really nicely and makes the whole pack feel a lot more polished and complete. The details all add up! As part of my overarching goal to improve quality and consistency in all my texture packs, I took this update as an opportunity to remake many of the in-game textures to look cleaner and be more consistent with the original art style. What's new with this version however, is that I've spent considerable time making sure every single texture added had a noticeable impact on the perceived quality of the area they belong to . Long term followers might know that I worked by a frequency priority system , where the most viewed textures received the highest priority to be remade. Starting with this version, I have moved over to a perceived-quality priority system . The difference is that with perceived-quality, I instead prioritize textures which I deem to have the biggest impact on the overhaul visual quality of an area , rather than how frequently that particular texture is displayed in-game. With the new system, textures which aren't necessarily common, but incredibly important to the overall visuals of an area (such as the UI and Clock Town for example) get prioritized over frequent but less noticeable textures (such as foliage). I have found this new approach to working highly effective, and I think you'll notice that the step-up in perceived quality in this version should be pretty drastic over previous versions! It's finally happening: Full support for Spanish! As stated in previous posts, I'm working to add support for all in-game languages to my packs, starting with English then working my way through other popular languages. Last update I added support for German, and this time get ready for Spanish! Everything in menus, in-game text, button prompts and location names have been translated, and should * work without issues. However, if there are any mistakes or errors regarding the translation, please let me know! ¡Gracias! Updated UI and item icons! Arguably one of the biggest improvements this update is the updated item & mask icons, as well as general improvements to the user interface. All item icons (except for some bottles, for now) have been updated and remade completely in glorious HD quality! This also includes character portraits, which finally fixes some long-standing issues with the pack since the beginning. Buttons, outlines, prompts and more have also been remade from scratch to look much cleaner and nicer than before. And of course, I've also gone ahead and remade the whole font sheet for in-game messages with more consistent spacing and kerning for more pleasant reading. It's a lot of smaller changes and details, but I definitely think it adds up! Improved Japanese translation textures thanks to work by Tomoki Sato ("LINK") Tomoki Sato (a user who also goes by the name "LINK") has generously been helping with translating most of the UI textures of this texture pack, as well as the OoT3D 4K texture pack, over to Japanese! Another batch covering some of the textures has been added in this update, with more getting included in future releases. Please follow them on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/LINK_genkaiya And many bugs fixes, optimizations and minor changes... Minor issues from the previous version has been fixed. Some of the fixes include the following changes; Fixed the map in Pirates' Fortress appearing as the Great Fairy (yes, seriously). Fixed low resolution bloom present in various cutscenes. Fixed low resolution text appearing in some places. Fixed some text not using the correct terms (i.e. "Back" instead of "Return") Updated character portraits and fixed some portraits displaying incorrectly, resulting in disfigurement. Fixed the font not handling certain characters, resulting in font inconsistencies in other languages than English. Message text now fully supports apostrophes and special characters. Fixed bloom effects being applied twice in the included Reshade preset. Fixed some misnamed textures, including a naming issue which resulted in some textures not displaying their 4K variants on the PAL region version. Performance has also been marginally improved due to the previously described optimizations, although keep in mind that Vulkan support in emulators is still not perfect and bugs may occur that did not occur in OpenGL in previous versions. For this reason you are still be able to enjoy the game using OpenGL instead of Vulkan by enabling it in the emulator Graphics Settings, if you want to. This should lead to a more polished and overall enjoyable experience for everyone using the pack. Notice: Normal maps have been temporarily removed in this version , as they will be remade in future revisions to the project. Normal maps were not used in-game in previous versions, so you won't be seeing any visual differences as a result of this- but it will reduce the file size of the pack by a fair bit. This explains why you might see fewer total textures in this version compared to 2.1 , since 100+ unused normal maps have been removed from the project files. That's mostly it for this update. Enjoy! The update is available early to all you Patrons here, with a public release as soon as the next texture pack update releases. There is also a 4K version available! The 4K version includes higher quality textures than the 1080p version, and will work on all displays- even those that don't display in 4K resolution. It will still look better than the 1080p version, no matter the display! Please feel free to try it out! (The texture pack does not work on real 3DS hardware) You can find more information about my 4K texture pack here. Download it from Patreon ! I am only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love! ❤️

- Twilight Princess 4K IssuesIn Texture Packs·August 19, 2020I'm having a couple of issues with TP 4K, for one, my game doesn't actually save even though it says it does. I'll save the game and close the emulator, only to come back to it and my save file is gone. Also i'm unable to change the Left Trigger button which is mapped to speeding up the game's frame rate. I tried to change it so it's the Left Bumper instead that does that but it always resets back to the left trigger and it's annoying. Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated!152071
