  • Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 4K Texture Pack 3.0 Update

Good evening! 🌙 Fall season is approaching and it's been a hot minute since the last update to this project. In fact, it's been one year on the day  since the last version, 2.1, released last year. It's time for a new update, don't you think? Similar to OoT 3D 4K 3.0, this was initially a smaller update but I kept adding new things to it and well, here we are! Anyways, I hope you'll find the upgrades of this version worth the extra wait. So without further ado, here's what's new: 170+ New Textures! This update includes over 170 new 4K textures  which have been remade from the ground up for this version. This includes both environment textures  such as the ground, walls, stone tiles and bricks, wooden panels etc. It also includes many new interior textures , completely overhauling several locations, such as Pirates' Fortress, Clock Town  and   more . There are tons of miscellaneous textures  as well that have been completely remade, such as different types of foliage, NPCs, the Mirror Shield, Weather Effects, Sheikah Stones, Deku Flowers, the World Map, a new remade font, a majority of the UI and much more . Like previous updates, it helps it all comes together really nicely and makes the whole pack feel a lot more polished and complete. The details all add up! As part of my overarching goal to improve quality and consistency in all my texture packs, I took this update as an opportunity to remake many of the in-game textures to look cleaner and be more consistent with the original art style. What's new with this version however, is that I've spent considerable time making sure every single texture added had a noticeable impact on the perceived quality of the area they belong to . Long term followers might know that I worked by a frequency priority system , where the most viewed textures received the highest priority to be remade. Starting with this version, I have moved over to a perceived-quality priority system . The difference is that with perceived-quality, I instead prioritize textures which I deem to have the biggest impact on the overhaul visual quality of an area , rather than how frequently that particular texture is displayed in-game. With the new system, textures which aren't necessarily common, but incredibly important to the overall visuals of an area (such as the UI and Clock Town for example) get prioritized over frequent but less noticeable textures (such as foliage). I have found this new approach to working highly effective, and I think you'll notice that the step-up in perceived quality in this version should be pretty drastic over previous versions! It's finally happening: Full support for Spanish! As stated in previous posts, I'm working to add support for all in-game languages to my packs, starting with English then working my way through other popular languages. Last update I added support for German, and this time get ready for Spanish! Everything in menus, in-game text, button prompts and location names have been translated, and should *  work without issues. However, if there are any mistakes or errors regarding the translation, please let me know! ¡Gracias! Updated UI and item icons! Arguably one of the biggest improvements this update is the updated item & mask icons, as well as general improvements to the user interface. All item icons (except for some bottles, for now) have been updated and remade completely in glorious HD quality! This also includes character portraits, which finally fixes some long-standing issues with the pack since the beginning. Buttons, outlines, prompts and more have also been remade from scratch to look much cleaner and nicer than before. And of course, I've also gone ahead and remade the whole font sheet for in-game messages with more consistent spacing and kerning for more pleasant reading. It's a lot of smaller changes and details, but I definitely think it adds up! Improved Japanese translation textures thanks to work by Tomoki Sato ("LINK") Tomoki Sato (a user who also goes by the name "LINK") has generously been helping with translating most of the UI textures of this texture pack, as well as the OoT3D 4K texture pack, over to Japanese! Another batch covering some of the textures has been added in this update, with more getting included in future releases. Please follow them on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/LINK_genkaiya And many bugs fixes, optimizations and minor changes... Minor issues from the previous version has been fixed. Some of the fixes include the following changes; Fixed the map in Pirates' Fortress appearing as the Great Fairy (yes, seriously). Fixed low resolution bloom present in various cutscenes. Fixed low resolution text appearing in some places. Fixed some text not using the correct terms (i.e. "Back" instead of "Return") Updated character portraits and fixed some portraits displaying incorrectly, resulting in disfigurement. Fixed the font not handling certain characters, resulting in font inconsistencies in other languages than English. Message text now fully supports apostrophes and special characters. Fixed bloom effects being applied twice in the included Reshade preset. Fixed some misnamed textures, including a naming issue which resulted in some textures not displaying their 4K variants on the PAL region version. Performance has also been marginally improved due to the previously described optimizations, although keep in mind that Vulkan support in emulators is still not perfect and bugs may occur that did not occur in OpenGL in previous versions. For this reason you are still be able to enjoy the game using OpenGL instead of Vulkan by enabling it in the emulator Graphics Settings, if you want to. This should lead to a more polished and overall enjoyable experience for everyone using the pack. Notice:   Normal maps have been temporarily removed in this version , as they will be remade in future revisions to the project. Normal maps were not used in-game in previous versions, so you won't be seeing any visual differences as a result of this- but it will reduce the file size of the pack by a fair bit. This explains why you might see fewer total textures in this version compared to 2.1 , since 100+ unused normal maps have been removed from the project files. That's mostly it for this update. Enjoy! The update is available early to all you Patrons here, with a public release as soon as the next texture pack update releases. There is also a 4K version available! The 4K version includes higher quality textures than the 1080p version, and will work on all displays- even those that don't display in 4K resolution. It will still look better than the 1080p version, no matter the display! Please feel free to try it out! (The texture pack does not  work on real 3DS hardware) You can find more information about my 4K texture pack here. Download it from Patreon ! I am only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love! ❤️

  • Pikmin 4K Texture Pack 2.0 Update Changelog

Good morning! 🌷 Can you believe it's been over 2 years(!) since the last update to this project? To all Pikmin 4K fans out there, I'm very sorry for the long wait- it's way overdue for an update! I'll try to make it up to you with this extra beefy update. I present to you: Pikmin 4K: 2.0 - the biggest update ever to the texture pack! Here's what's new: Many new 4K textures! All areas have been overhauled this update. In total, there are over 150 brand new textures created from scratch, which have been specifically tailored to better suit the original art style of the game. There are 30+ new environment textures, over a dozen creature textures, a completely remade UI, 4K fonts and much more! I've taken a lot of the feedback I received to heart, and everything has been updated to look more seamless and fitting to the game's general aesthetic. Of course, this also goes in line with my overarching goal to increase the quality and consistency of all my texture pack projects. New shaders and visual tweaks! The "HenrikoMagnifico_Ultra" shader has been upgraded (now version 2)! It has been tweaked to better fit the original style, but still overhauls much of the visuals with new effects such as configurable bloom, ambient occlusion, tone mapping and more. The intensity of various effects such as bloom and ambient occlusion has also been toned down somewhat to be less intrusive and to blend in better with the rest of the visuals. Several other shaders from my other projects are now also included, which you can use if you want to change up the game's look a bit. And like always, you can of course configure the shaders however you like, or disable them all together in the Dolphin Graphics Settings > Post-Processing tab. Go wild! Streamlined installation method! Like in my Wind Waker texture pack project, all future updates will now include a standardized method of installation for the emulator of your choosing. From this version onward, installation will now be pretty much the same between all platforms (with some minor differences in regards to file locations). This will have the effect of greatly simplifying installation steps for users not using Windows, as well as preventing confusion regarding the various steps necessary to install the packs. From this version onward, the Dolphin Emulator will no longer be included with the texture pack by default . Instead, downloading and installing your own version of Dolphin will be necessary, and is now step 1 of the instructions. This will ensure that your emulator version is always up to date, with the latest features and bug fixes, and that you're using the appropriate version of the program for your specific device. This also means that you will be able to merge all of your texture packs into one single installation of Dolphin, without having to switch between different emulator versions just for a single game! That's all for now, enjoy! This update is first available to all supporters here in early access, with a public release in two months from when this post was first published! The pack is available in both 4K and 1080p resolutions! The mobile version is the same resolution as the 1080p version. Note: The 4K version will look better than the 1080p version , even if you don't have a 4K display. This is because the textures are physically larger and contain more detail in the 4K version, no matter what resolution display you're using! (The texture pack does not  work on real Gamecube or Wii hardware) Read more information about the texture pack on my website! I'm only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love! ❤️

  • Super Mario Sunshine 4K Texture Pack 2.0 Update Changelog

Good Morning! ☀️🏖️🌴 I'm thrilled to announce that my latest update to the Super Mario Sunshine 4K texture pack is finally here; version 2.0! This is the biggest update ever  to the project, and is more or less complete remake of the texture pack from the ground up, with the intention of bringing it up to the higher standard you've all come to expect from my texture packs in recent years.   Of course, this   update comes with many new textures, bug fixes and changes to enhance the experience even further. Here's what's new: Many brand new 4K textures! Pretty much all areas have enhanced in this update, from big to small. As stated earlier, the primary reason the wait has been so long for this update is because I made the decision back in 2023 to completely remake this texture pack, since I wasn't satisfied with the quality of my work in the older versions. I found that, since my skills have improved quite substantially over the years, I was able to produce much higher quality textures than before, and so I started working on this new iteration shortly thereafter. It has been almost 2 years since then (typing that out loud feels crazy to me), but I hope you will find this version worth the wait! In total, there are over 280(!)  brand new textures created from scratch, which have been specifically tailored to better suit the original art style of the game. There are 150+ new environment textures alone, a completely overhauled UI, several new 4K typefaces and much more! I've taken a lot of the feedback I received to heart, and everything has been updated to look more seamless and fitting to the game's general aesthetic. Of course, this also goes in line with my overarching goal to increase the quality and consistency of all my texture pack projects. I personally believe this is now the definitive HD texture pack for this game, please let me know what you think! New shaders and visual tweaks! For the first time, a new "Henriko_Ultra" shader has been added to the pack as an option! It is based on the old IshiirukaFX shader, and has been tweaked to better fit the original style, while still improving much of the visuals with new effects such as configurable bloom, ambient occlusion, tone mapping and more. And of course, you can of course configure the shaders however you like, or disable them all together in the Dolphin Graphics Settings > Post-Processing tab. Streamlined installation method! Like in other recent updates to my texture projects, all future updates will now use a standardized method of installation for the emulator of your choosing. From this version onward, installation will now be pretty much the same between all platforms (with some minor differences in regards to file locations). This will have the effect of greatly simplifying installation steps for users not using Windows, as well as preventing confusion regarding the various steps necessary to install the packs. Also, from this version onward, the Dolphin Emulator will no longer be included with the texture pack by default . Instead, downloading and installing your own version of Dolphin will be necessary, and is now step 1 of the installation instructions. This change will ensure that your emulator version is always up to date, with the latest features and bug fixes, and that you're using the appropriate version of the program for your specific device. This also means that you will be able to merge all of your texture packs into one single installation of Dolphin, without having to switch between different emulator versions just for a single game, and reduce confusion regarding the installation overall. That's all for now, enjoy! The update is available early to all Green Rupee supporters or higher, with a public release as soon as the next texture pack update releases. There is also a 4K version available! The 4K version includes higher quality textures than the 1080p version, and will work on all displays- even those that don't display in 4K resolution. It will still look better than the 1080p version, no matter the display! Please feel free to try it out! You can find more information about the texture pack here Download it from here!

  • Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 4K Texture Pack 3.0 Update Changelog

Good morning! 🔆 It's been several months since the last update to this project (time really does fly, it feels like yesterday when I announced 2.0). I initially planned on releasing a smaller update as well to follow up 2.0 last year, but it ballooned in scope, and here we are! It's taken me a long while, but I'm pleased to finally announce the release of the next major version of the pack: 3.0! 3.0 is in fact not larger than 2.0 in terms of the sheer amount of new textures. However, this does not mean this version is any less substantial than 2.0 when it comes to meaningful changes. Similar to 2.0, this version includes over 250  new 4K textures, covering many parts of the game . But again, it's much more  than just that! In fact, the whole work process has changed quite dramatically over the last couple of months- leading to much higher quality textures than in prior versions (more on that further down). You will be seeing a major leap in quality between 2.0 to 3.0, maybe even more so than between 1.9 and 2.0! Other improvements include Spanish and German translated 4K textures (finally!), updated Reshade presets and plenty of miscellaneous improvements and changes. That's just a pinch of what's new, here's some more details: 250+ New Textures! This update includes over 250 new 4K textures  which have been remade from the ground up for this version. This includes both environment textures  such as the ground, walls, stone tiles and bricks, wooden panels etc. It also includes many new interior textures , completely overhauling several locations, particularly in and around Kokiri Forest, Kakariko Village, Inside the Great Deku Tree, Lake Hylia  and Hyrule Field. There are tons of miscellaneous textures  as well that have been completely remade, such as different types of wood and bark, many NPC textures, Link's clothes, grass and groundcover, clovers, ladders, the inside of Jabu Jabu's Belly, the Hylian Shield and many more . The Hylian Shield  in particular has been meticulously hand painted by fellow artist @SkilarBabcock  and it looks absolutely stunning. They previously contributed the gorgeous textures for Link in my Twilight Princess texture pack, and they're incredibly talented. Please check out their website  and follow them on their socials, they 100% deserve it. Like previous updates, it helps it all comes together really nicely and makes the whole pack feel a lot more polished and complete. The details all add up! As part of my overarching goal to improve quality and consistency in all my texture packs, I took this update as an opportunity to remake many of the in-game textures to look cleaner and more consistent with the original art style. What's new with this version however, is that I've spent considerable time making sure every single texture added had a noticeable impact on the perceived quality of the area they belong to . Long term followers might know that I worked by a frequency priority system , where the most viewed textures received the highest priority to be remade. The difference is that with perceived-quality, I instead prioritize textures which I deem to have the biggest impact on the overhaul visual quality of an area , rather than how frequently that particular texture is displayed in-game. With the new system, textures which aren't necessarily common, but incredibly important to the overall visuals of an area (such as the Great Deku Tree for example) get prioritized over frequent but less noticeable textures (such as foliage). I have found this new approach to working highly effective, and I think you'll notice that the step-up in perceived quality in this version should be pretty drastic over previous versions! Finally: Support for the Spanish  and German  languages! As stated in previous posts, I'm working to add support for all in-game languages to my packs, starting with English then working my way through other popular languages. First in turn for this pack is German and Spanish, which if you're a long-time follower you might remember there used to be Spanish support in the pack a long time ago. Unfortunately, support had to be removed for the release of 2.0, which brought new UI textures and was also incompatible with the existing Spanish translation from prior versions. Luckily, it is now fully back & supported starting from this version onward! Everything in menus, in-game text, button prompts and location names have been translated, and should work without issues. However, if there are any mistakes or errors regarding the translation, please let me know! ¡Gracias! and danke schön! Improved Japanese translation textures thanks to work by Tomoki Sato ("LINK") Tomoki Sato (a user who also goes by the name "LINK") has generously been helping with translating most of the UI textures of this texture pack, as well as the MM3D 4K texture pack, over to Japanese! Another batch covering some of the textures has been added in this update, with more getting included in future releases. Please follow them on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/LINK_genkaiya Updated ReShade presets (Ultra v10, N64 v4 and Vibrant v1) The ReShade presets that come with the pack have been updated and improved in this version. The new versions are now Ultra v10, N64 v4 and Vibrant v1- which is a brand new preset with a colorful, rich and lively look, which I recommend you try out! These new presets are also updated to support the latest version of ReShade (6.3.3 at the time of writing this). I recommend that you update ReShade to the latest version, or 6.3.3, to ensure maximum compatibility with these presets. And many bugs fixes, optimizations and minor changes... Minor issues from the previous version has been fixed. This should lead to a more polished and overall enjoyable experience for everyone using the texture pack. That's mostly it for this update. Enjoy! The update is available early to all Green Rupee supporters, with a public release as soon as the next texture pack update releases. There is also a 4K version available! The 4K version includes higher quality textures than the 1080p version, and will work on all displays- even those that don't display in 4K resolution. It will still look better than the 1080p version, no matter the display! Please feel free to try it out! (The texture pack does not  work on real 3DS hardware) You can find more information about the texture pack here Download it from here!
