Please note people - This post is not a stab or non stab at anyone whos modded illegally, its just a idea on how to get Mods legal once and for all, for all old game titles on all platforms, including this Modders content on this site. That is all this post is aimed at doing, so dont worry if you are.... Hi there, I saw your Zelda Ocarina of Time mod a couple of months ago, and I so wanted to play it. Because of the legality on emulators and old games, I decided not to play it. I was upset as your work you done is amazing. I tried to figure out why cant people use Mods legally? The theory I got was that game companies want people to buy new games for new consoles, so the rules stay as they are till an option comes forward that makes mods and rehashes legal. Old games, same as for movies, have the best entertainment content as they targeted fresh ideas first, so it should be allowed to play all old entertainment in the future. Its been crap we cant play old games safely so far but maybe some light I have found.... I think I may have solved it perhaps, and thought of you as a Modder so posting now. I thought id show you a proposal that may be good to spread around, that may finally work for modders and game companies, and also for other industries with old content that cant be used because of law. Right, the game companies want people to play new games, so they make money off new titles. So what about this idea. Lets say for example we want to buy Zelda Ocarina of time 4k which you have modded to be in 4k. If say a new game is out called Zelda 2021 and its full price of £50. There could be a law made that stated, if you buy this new Zelda game for £50, you can sacrifice the game code you got, for a game code for the modded 4k Ocarina of time instead. With what I just said, you can see that, the game company gets paid for the new Zelda game full price. The game companies dont really benefit from you playing the game. They do make the games, but the playing itself is not there real concern, except when it comes to reviewing the game itself. By sacrificing your new game code for the New Zelda game for a copy of 4k Modded Ocarina of time instead, you spend your game time playing only one of the two zelda games. This means youll be buying games as usual and not affecting the industry as a whole. I think this idea is what game companies really would like to see I think if Mods are to exist as legal worldwide. Modders could make a commision from this approach of modding and may pave the way to legalize modding world wide. Another example, you bought Elder scrolls Skyrim game but want to mod it. If you havent played any hours in Skyrim yet, you can buy a DLC content voucher for the modding extension to be added to your game. Then mods will work with your Skyrim game. If however you started playing Skyrim already then wanted to mod the game, you then have to pay for a new copy of Skyrim to get the modded extension to work on your game. Game companies would like this secondary strategy, because you are only then playing one game at a time which doesnt affect the industry. I thought maybe youd like to propose a solution based on this to Nintendo if you wanted to make money of Mods for nintendo games legally. Maybe you could spread it around if it works with the modding community in general, and money could be made of that too. Have fun :)

I followed the instructions (sans "load custom material maps" and "prefetch custom textures" because the options did not show?) but the .exe file doesn't work? When I put it into Ishiiruka Dolphin a window pops up for barley a second then immediately closes. What's up with that?

Okay, so I've downloaded the latest version, have the iso, I open the solo launcher, set iso path, and it doesn't load the custom textures. Looks unmodified with no 4k banner popping up at the title screen. Using all default settings from the download. If I dump the textures to regular dolphin the show up and it get the 4k banner. However, I don't seem to get all the post processing benefits. Am I missing something simple?

Hi, I'm using the 60fps version of oot and the game runs really well until I move then the music gets really slow and the game gets laggy but still at 60fps I don't know why it does that.

Hi, i'm having a problem with oothd4k60fps, it says there is a fatal error, i followed all of the instructions, but i can't get it to work. here is my log:

As title says I have an issue with launching Oot on henrikos custom build of citra. OoT launches fine on latest citra nightly build but not through the custom build (30fps, and 60fps has same issue). I've tried disabling reshade and custom textures but neither work, separately or together. ill provide log and screenshot of fatal error, pls help ty ss: log:

When I click download on google drive, it starts in firefox's downloads but then fails every time I try. I don't really understand why? I have a very good internet connection so it's not that.

OOT3D 4K. I just downloaded it and clicked the .exe file as noted in the instructions and Citra Canary loads. But it stops there- it's looking for a 3ds file that it cannot find. Am I doing something wrong? Sorry.

I downloaded the texture packs for Zelda OoT, I extracted the file and I click on "Zelda Ocarina of Time 4K.exe" but nothing happens. I tried many times to download again, I tried with 1080p file and 4K file but nothing happens. Can you help me?
