How to change the brightness and the fps to 60? It's seems a little dark and the fps is 30

How do we access the home key? I've got the mod installed, but have the same issue with the screen almost being too dark. I saw the button assignment was "D" when I was setting up my PS4 controller, but the option is greyed out so I can't select it, and pressing it in-game doesn't do anything. Am I missing something?
